[It's evening by the time she comes back here. Things look familiar in the way that they might have been part of a dream, once; cement and steel and dust and grime. She looks at the structures appraisingly, neither pleased nor displeased by them. They're just there. Just something that she might face, soon enough.]
[She's trained already, but she doesn't need rest, so she runs, fast and in as indirect a pattern as she can. Even stopping and starting, dodging imaginary pursuit, she's a blur, her eyes narrowed to slits against the dirt in the air. She learns the feel of the structures as she uses them for leverage when she hits top speed. It doesn't take long, too, before she's climbing, which is slower but not much.]
[Soon enough she finds herself at the top of an abandoned, half-constructed building, only a few stories tall but higher than anything she'd have found in Borogravia but a steeple. She sits with her feet hanging over the edge and considers her options from here. She has made her first decision, and now . . . here come all the rest.]

Well. That was fun.
( ooc; SO i completely didn't do anything with paintball because of work, so feel free to assume anything re: mal being extremely serious about paintball once she actually learned the rules. she was 4th floor, blue team. )

Hello.
[spam]
Have you been here long?
[spam]
[Which is not an answer, exactly, but also means that she's been up here quite a while, if he can read between the lines.]
Can you get up?

I'm glad you were on our team.
[Jean was the one making the paintballs fly back towards their owners.]

Admittedly mine was a little more direct and a little less flashy.

Besides, I haven't had a lot of training with guns yet. I didn't want to shoot one of my teammates in the butt.

They still have no idea what kind of place they'll end up in. She figures she should practice her climbing.
She remembers climbing back into her tower on the hand of the clock face, and she almost smiles.
The building she chooses is only half finished, a few stories tall. She fires the zip line straight up, waits for it to hit - there. She tugs, it's firm, up she goes.]

[After she's settled, Mal smiles.]
Good trick.
Re: Spam
It comes in handy. [She yanks out the claws, and the line feeds itself back into the gun.] Especially if conventional climbing gear doesn't really do it for you.
[She's being more blase than she ought to; she's barely tried this, and it's damn lucky she got up with no problems. But she might be on a bit of a high, sitting on a rooftop again.]

You find a way up regardless, if you need to.
[Under the bland statement is deep approval at her creativity. It's a good trait to have, especially in a place like this.]

He doesn't care for me much. [Was that entirely vague enough, Mal]

I've noticed that. I was hoping you might tell me something that wasn't obvious.

Of course. What's the matter?

[Private]
What do you want to talk about?
[Private]
Also, in a more general sense, I felt it would be prudent to introduce myself before we landed in - wherever we're going.
[This counts as an introduction right.]
